COMPANY NEWS

L.I. Smith & Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that Mr. Nathan Smith, son of President Lucile Smith and Vice President Larry Smith, has recently rejoined our team after completing his tour in Afghanistan with the Air National Guard. Nathan holds a Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville.  He is a licensed professional engineer in the states of Tennessee, Illinois, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida. Mr. Matthew McCrory recently received his certification as a Registered Land Surveyor for the State of Tennessee. Mr. McCrory has been a member of the L.I. Smith team since 2007 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin. Congratulations Mr. McCrory on your recent certification and best wishes for your continued success in your career as a Registered Land Surveyor.

CURRENT EVENTS

Master Sergeant Michael S. Ilko will be on temporary duty assignment with the 212th Engineering Battalion, 194th Engineering Regiment, Tennessee Army National Guard from June 9 to July 1, 2014 for training and participation in CAPSTONE 14, an earthquake exercise which includes eight (8) states in the mid-south region.

 

Captain Nathan Smith has just returned home from another deployment for the Air Force as the engineering project manager of a joint United States and Australian C-Band radar project in Australia.

 

Major Larry Smith just completed a week of training for Military Funeral Honors at the Smyrna National Guard Training Facility.  The training was a refresher course for Major Smith, since he is currently serving as the Officer-in-Charge for the West Tennessee Team of the Tennessee State Guard for Military Funeral Honors.
