We recognize eight paid holidays per year, which include New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, The Day After Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
Paid Time Off
Employees are entitled to 80 hours of paid time off (PTO) each year. Bereavement is also provided for the loss of immediate family members.
Insurance plans are offered to our employees and their families through United Health Care. Full-time employees have the choice of two plans for medical coverage with optional dental and vision coverage. Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance (AD&D) are also available. Additionally, Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability plans may be purchased by employees.
We sponsor a Simple IRA for our employees with a 3% match.
Tuition reimbursement is available for college courses taken in the pursuit of a professional surveyor or professional engineer license, or other applicable courses on a case by case basis. To qualify, a staff member must receive a 3.0 or higher in the course and must remain employed with LIS for 24 months after completion.
