LIS is frequently looking for dedicated, career-minded professionals to join our team. With offices located in Paris and Nashville, Tenn., we employ a number of professional engineers, land surveyors, technicians, and other support staff. For college students, sophomore, junior, and senior level, seeking to further their knowledge and skillsets in the industry, we offer internships in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, and Marketing/Communications each summer. These positions allow students to learn from experienced industry professionals while gaining hands-on experience in their chosen fields of study.

Paid Holidays
We recognize 10 paid holidays per year, which include New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Juneteenth, Thanksgiving, The Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
Paid Time Off
Employees are entitled to 80 hours of PTO each year.
Insurance
Insurance plans are offered to our employees and their families through United Health Care. Full-time employees have the choice of two plans for medical coverage with optional dental and vision coverage. Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance (AD&D) are available. Employees also have the option to purchase Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability plans.
Retirement
We sponsor a Simple IRA for our employees with a 3% company match.
Tuition Reimbursement
Tuition reimbursement is available for college courses taken in the pursuit of a professional surveyor or professional engineer license, or other applicable courses on a case by case basis. To qualify, a staff member must receive a 3.0 or higher in the course and must remain employed with LIS for 24 months after completion.
SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
The LIS summer internship program is geared specifically towards college students, classified as sophomores, juniors, or seniors, who are studying within the civil engineering, surveying, communications, or marketing fields. The internship experience will allow students to grow their talents in their chosen majors in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
The internships are paid positions and provide the option for students to receive college credit upon completion. If seeking college credit, student interns must discuss curriculum requirements with their supervisor prior to beginning the internship and academic term.
