LIS is frequently looking for dedicated, career-minded professionals to join our team. With offices located in Paris, Nashville, and Portland, Tenn., we employ a number of professional engineers, land surveyors, technicians, and other support staff. Our employees receive a competitive salary, on-the-job training, safety and first-aid courses, and a wide variety of benefits.
For college students, sophomore, junior, and senior level, seeking to further their knowledge and skillsets in the industry, we offer internships in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, and Marketing/Communications each summer. These positions allow students to learn from experienced industry professionals while gaining hands-on experience in their chosen fields of study.

We recognize seven paid holidays per year, which include New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, The Day After Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
Paid Time Off
Employees are entitled to 40 hours of paid time off (PTO) each year. After five years of employment, employees qualify for 80 hours of PTO each year.
Insurance plans are offered to our employees and their families through United Health Care. Full-time employees have the choice of two plans for medical coverage with optional dental and vision coverage. Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance (AD&D) are also available to our employees.
We sponsor a 401(k) retirement plan for our employees.
Tuition reimbursement is available for college courses taken in the pursuit of a professional surveyor or professional engineer license, or other applicable courses on a case by case basis. To qualify, a staff member must receive a 3.0 or higher in the course and must remain employed with LIS for 24 months after completion.
